Arise And Go To The Streets

Patricia King: "Arise Now and Go To The Streets" (October 2003)
2003-10-25

In Song of Solomon chapter 3 we find the Shunamite looking for her beloved night after night within the environment of her own household, the place where she was used to his presence. In verse 2, we find her desperate in his absence as she proclaims, "I will arise now... and go about the city, in the streets and in the squares. I will seek the one I love." When she found him, she said, "I held him and would not let him go".

The Body of Christ has been in an extended time of renewal and refreshment where we have known the Lord's presence in the church -- in conferences, seminars and gatherings. The Lord will always be amongst His people wherever they gather, but we will come to know a shift in His tangible manifest presence in the coming days. A strong evidence of His presence will be found on the streets. Harvest has already begun.

The Body is being called to "GO". Like the Shunamite woman, we will cry with a deep desire for Him saying, "I must arise NOW and 'GO'....to the streets and to the squares." The next six months to a year will include an enormous stirring in the hearts of believers as well as the mobilization of believers into the harvest fields. We will know what it is to be "sent ones" (apostolic) as we go in His power and authority of His great love to reach the lost. There will be an acceleration of the Lord's manifest power, prophetic, and presence as we "GO" in His unfailing compassion and mercy. Remember: there is always a BLESSING in GOING!
